On the afternoon of August 11, 2020, Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee - Mr. Le Tri Thanh, Vice Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee - Mr. Tran Van Tan and leaders of units of the Department of Health, Quang Nam Center for Disease Control , Dien Ban town visited and supervised the testing and diagnosis of SARS-COV-2 virus at Phan Chau Trinh University.
At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Mr. Le Tri Thanh acknowledged and highly appreciated the contribution of the University in the epidemic prevention work in recent years. Especially in the screening test for COVID-19. Immediately after the proposal of the Provincial People's Committee, the University actively connected and implemented immediately, very urgently and professionally. This contributes to the early control of the disease by the province and locality. It is known that Phan Chau Trinh University is a doctor training unit with very high standards, using English in training, and training does not follow the target. He hopes that with such dedication and effort in the process of organizing such training, such training will soon become a bright spot in medical training nationwide.
Doctor Tran Van Kiem - Director of CDC province also acknowledged the timely support of the school and appreciated the professionalism in testing and returning results. With a medical school and health sciences, we are always accountable to the community, to the locality in times like this. Currently, the number of sending units increases, each day the school receives from 1500 to 2000 samples, so the school has applied and implemented the Realtime RT-PCR testing technique using the method of aggregating samples according to guidance of the Ministry of Health in Decision 3486 / QD-BYT. With this method, it is expected that each day the school will perform more than 2,000 samples each day, it will help to return the results early to the locality, helping to reduce the CDC's workload and soon control the disease situation.
