This morning, on December 21, Phan Chau Trinh University continued its tradition of welcoming the Global Engagement Institute (GEI) for a visit and discussions on collaborating in hosting international students for clinical internships at the university's affiliated hospitals.
GEI is a global training institute headquartered in Germany, with operational offices in the United States and major cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Kigali, Nairobi, and Cape Town. GEI offers various internship programs for international students in developing countries, including Vietnam.
During the working session, Ms. Thuy Phan, the Southeast Asia Regional Director and GEI representative in Vietnam, highly praised the training model that Phan Chau Trinh University is developing. This model represents a significant advantage for international students to experience clinical rotations, practical internships, and gain exposure to disease models and healthcare practices in Vietnam. It also fosters cultural exchange among students from different countries.
Following the tour and exploratory discussions, both parties will actively engage in further discussions to collaboratively formulate plans for international student exchanges and lay the foundation for potential future cooperation opportunities.
