The total number of COVID-19 cases in Vietnam currently stands at 1,068 cases, of which 947 have been cured and discharged.
The National Steering Committee for the Prevention and Control of COVID-19 on the morning of September 22 said there were no new cases of COVID-19. Up to now, Vietnam has not recorded cases in the community for 20 days. There are more than 23,700 people are quarantined against the epidemic.
Up to 6am on September 22, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Vietnam stopped at 1,068 cases, of which 691 cases were caused by domestic infections.
Currently, 947 out of 1,068 cases have been cured; Only 121 cases of COVID-19 are continuing to be treated in health facilities, of which 15 have first test negative for SARS-CoV-2 virus, 2 of them are negative for the second time. and 19 people were negative 3 times.
Among patients under treatment, currently only patient 793 currently being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases 2 is the only one with a severe condition, currently with stable health progress. Oxygen patients have had at least 1 negative result for SARS-CoV-2.
To this point, our country has recorded 35 deaths related to COVID-19. Most of the deaths are in the elderly, on the basis of serious medical conditions such as: end stage chronic kidney failure, end-stage blood cancer that does not respond to chemicals, coronary syndrome, acute respiratory failure, degeneration. polyarthritis, hypertension, chronic adrenal insufficiency, type 2 diabetes mellitus, sepsis, pneumonia, exhaustion, multi-organ failure.
The whole country still 23,725 people who have close contact and enter from the epidemic area are under medical monitoring; of which 384 people were isolated gathered at the hospital; 14,808 isolators gathered at another facility and 8,533 isolated at home and in the accommodation.
At present, the outbreaks are basically under control. However, in big cities with high population density, the risk of infection still exists. There has been a situation in which people neglect to take measures to prevent epidemics such as not wearing masks when going out, gathering, eating, and playing crowded games ...
To prevent epidemics in a "new normal" state, the Ministry of Health recommends that people wear masks when leaving the house, regularly wash their hands with soap or hand sanitizer, especially when going out and when go home.
The Ministry of Health urges each citizen to act together and properly and fully comply with epidemic prevention recommendations.
