Recently, on October 6, 2018, at Tam Tri Da Nang General Hospital, a free eye surgery program "Bringing Light to Poor Patients" took place. This is a charity program held annually and hosted by the Red Cross Association of Cam Le district, Tam Tri General Hospital, Da Nang. The program has performed nearly 100 free eye surgeries for poor patients in Cam Le district - a locality with a high proportion of the population with high difficulty in the city. In particular, this year, there are 31 medical students from Phan Chau Trinh University who will work “Serving on the spot” at Tam Tri Da Nang General Hospital.
During the two days of the program, the medical students Phan Chau Trinh implemented a series of activities including basic survival markers such as electrocardiogram measurement, blood pressure measurement and private learning in activities. health consulting, eye care for patients. For the students of Medicine, this program has partly helped them prepare more luggage and practical experiences to go on their chosen career path.
The activity is also a part of the curriculum at Phan Chau Trinh University to equip the students of Medicine in both theory and practice, for collisions in the hospital environment. Thereby, helping them to train according to the motto 3H: Head, Hand and Heard. As a future doctor, it is essential to have a head to learn because Medicine is a very difficult profession, with hands to practice and a loving heart. And Phan Chau Trinh University will create favorable conditions to support the medical students to study their best, dedicate their youth to study.
