More than 98,000 people are infected with COV in the world

Covid-19 appeared in 89 countries and territories, causing 98,077 people infected with nCoV, of which 3,356 deaths, an increase of 71 cases compared to yesterday.

The number of infections in Italy and Iran continues to increase rapidly. Italy recorded an additional 769 nCoV positive cases, bringing the total number of people infected in the country to 3,858, compared to 3,513 in Iran.

Italy is also the country with the second highest number of deaths from Covid-19 in the world, behind only China, with 148 deaths, an increase of 41 cases from the day before.

China reported 143 additional nCoV-positive cases and 30 deaths.

South Korea remains the world's second largest outbreak with 6,088 cases recorded, an increase of 467 from a day ago and 40 deaths. World Health Organization director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that the Korean situation "is showing good signs" as new infections begin to decline.

Germany and France recorded a series of new infections, of which the number of nCoV-positive cases in Germany doubled in just one day to 545. France also discovered 138 new infections, including a congressman, bringing the total number of nCoV-positive cases in the country to 423.

South Africa recorded its first case yesterday, while the Netherlands reported the number of nCoV infections doubled to 82.

The number of infections worldwide yesterday increased by 3,122. The world currently records 98,420 infections, 3,385 deaths and 55,662 people recovered.
