On the evening of February 6, the Ministry of Health confirmed that two 49-year-old and 16-year-old patients in Vinh Phuc were positive for nCoV, bringing the number of pneumonia in Vietnam to 12.
These two are the mother and the biological sister of a 23-year-old patient from Vinh Phuc, who is being isolated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
The mother is 49 years old, is a farmer, in Son Loi commune, Binh Xuyen district, Vinh Phuc province. On February 3, she developed a cough.
The 16-year-old sister, the student, also had symptoms of a mild, tired cough.
Both patients shared a common family and close contact history of the patient, having been monitored by the health agency at home since the 23-year-old daughter was identified with nCoV. This girl is one of a group of 8 people, Japan Nihon Plast Co., Ltd. sent to China to train in Wuhan city, and returned to Vietnam on January 17.

Both new patients are being treated at the Medical Center of Binh Xuyen district, Vinh Phuc, with stable health.
Vinh Phuc is currently the province with the most people with nCoV pneumonia in the country with 7 cases. The health sector of this province is monitoring and quarantining 138 people, of which 18 people are at high risk of getting nCoV.
8 people from Nihon Company returned from Wuhan, currently 5 people test positive for nCoV, 3 people are still under isolation.
To date, Vietnam has recorded 12 nCoV-positive cases, of which 3 people were discharged from the hospital. Ho Chi Minh City has 3 cases including two Chinese fathers treated at Cho Ray Hospital (the son has just been discharged from the hospital), an American overseas Vietnamese who has been transiting Wuhan airport for 2 hours is being treated at the Tropical Hospital. Khanh Hoa and Thanh Hoa each place a case just discharged from hospital, in which the patient in Khanh Hoa was spread from two Chinese father and son, the patient in Thanh Hoa was a member of the group of 8 people from Nihon Company from Wuhan. The remaining patients are Vinh Phuc, of which 4 are from the Nihon Group and 3 are relatives who are cross-infected.
