On the evening of March 19, the Ministry of Health said that Vietnam had 9 more patients with COVID-19, from 77 to 85; are from foreign countries to Vietnam.

Patient 77 is female, 25 years old (address in Nhan Chinh, Hanoi). The patient is an international student in the UK, entering Noi Bai on March 17 on flight QR976. After entering, the patient was screened and tested by the Hanoi Disease Control Center. The patient's screening result was positive for COVID-19. On the evening of March 18, the samples were sent to the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology.
Currently, the patient is in quarantine at the Dong Anh Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, and the health is stable.
Patient 78 is male, 22 years old (address is Bac Tu Liem, Hanoi). The patient is an international student in England, entering Noi Bai on March 17 on flight EK394. After entering, the patient was screened and tested by the Hanoi Disease Control Center. The patient's screening result was positive for COVID-19. On the evening of March 18, the samples were sent to the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology.
Currently, the patient is in quarantine at the Dong Anh Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, and the health is stable.
Patient 79 is female, 48 years old (address in Dong Hai, Bac Lieu). The patient has lived in the UK for almost 2 years. On March 14, the patient from London, England went to Dubai on an Emirates flight, number EK4, seat number 72J and then returned to Vietnam on March 15 on an Emirates flight, number EK392, seat number 33J. Upon entry, the patient had no symptoms of the disease, concentrated in isolation in District 12, Ho Chi Minh City.
On March 16, the patient had a fever, cough and was transferred to Cu Chi Field Hospital at 6pm the same day. Chest X-ray at admission showed lesions such as interstitial organ tissue and was sampled for testing. Hospital for Tropical Diseases HCMC tested positive late at night, March 17. The samples tested at Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City were positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus at 13:00 on March 18.
Currently, the patient continues to be treated and isolated at Cu Chi Field Hospital.
Patient 80 is male, 18 years old (address in Dong Hai, Bac Lieu, patient's son 79). The patient lives with his mother in the UK for nearly 2 years. On March 14, the patient and her mother from London to Dubai on an Emirates flight, number EK4, seat number 72J and then back to Vietnam on March 15 on an Emirates flight, number EK392, seat number 33J.
Upon entry, the patient did not have symptoms, was segregated in district 12 and collected samples. The samples tested at the Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City were positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus at 14:00 on March 18.
Patient 81 is male, 20 years old (address is in Konplong, Kon Tum). On March 14, a patient from Paris, France boarded a flight of the airline AirFrance, number AF258, number of seats 44L and returned to Vietnam on March 15. Upon entry, the patient did not have symptoms, was segregated in district 12 and collected samples.
The samples tested at the Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City were positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus at 1:00 am on March 19.
Patient 82 is female, 16 years old (address in District 5, HCMC). On March 14, the patient and her mother from London to Dubai on an Emirates flight, number EK30, seat number 12B and then back to Vietnam on March 15 on an Emirates flight, number EK364, seat number 7K.
Upon entry, the patient did not have symptoms, was segregated in district 12 and collected samples. The samples tested at the Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City were positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus at 1:00 am on March 19.
Patient 83 is female, 50 years old, US nationality (residing in Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City) In the 14 days prior to entry, patient went to Phuket, Thailand and from Istanbul, Turkey boarded the airline's flight. Turkish Airline, number TK162, seat number 14K returns to Vietnam on March 15. Upon entry, the patient had no cough, no fever, no difficulty breathing, concentrated in isolation in District 12 and sampled samples.
The samples tested at the Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City were positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus at 1:00 am on March 19.
Patient 84: male, 21 years old (address in Dong Da, Hanoi). The patient is an international student in the UK, returning to Noi Bai on March 18 on flight VN0054. After entering, the patient was screened and tested by the Hanoi Center for Disease Control. The patient's screening result was positive for COVID-19.
On March 19, the samples were sent to the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology. Currently, the patient is in quarantine at the Dong Anh Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, and the health is stable.
Patient 85 is male, 20 years old (address in Ba Dinh, Hanoi). The patient is an international student in the UK, returning to Noi Bai on March 18 on flight VN0054. After entering, the patient was screened and tested by the Hanoi Center for Disease Control. The patient's screening result was positive for COVID-19. On March 19, the samples were sent to the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology.
Currently, the patient is in quarantine at the Dong Anh Center for Tropical Diseases, and his health is stable.
